The Approach
Therapy that moves at a
human pace.
Therapy at Westwood is thoughtful, collaborative, and centered on the person in the room.
You don’t need to have the perfect words, a clear diagnosis, or a full plan before you begin. This is a place to slow down, talk honestly, and begin making sense of what feels heavy, confusing, or hard to carry alone.
Areas of Focus
Support for the real things people carry.
Anxiety
Stress & overwhelm
Life transitions
Grief and loss
Relationships
Self-esteem
ADHD
Autism
Trauma
Depression
You don’t have to know exactly what to call it.
Some people begin therapy because of something specific: anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, relationship stress, or a major life change.
Others come because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, burned out, sensitive, numb, or not quite like themselves.
Both are real reasons to begin.
Who I Work With
Individual therapy
for teens and adults.
Care that meets people where they are.
Individual therapy for teens and adults, offered in person and by telehealth.
-
For teens who feel anxious, overwhelmed, shut down, sensitive, stressed, or unsure how to explain what’s going on.
Therapy gives them a steady place to talk, build trust, sort through big feelings, and feel supported without pressure
-
For adults carrying anxiety, grief, stress, relationship strain, life changes, burnout, or the feeling that life has become heavier than it should be.
Therapy gives you space to slow down, talk honestly, and begin making sense of what feels tangled or unresolved.
-
All sessions are one-on-one, so the time is fully centered on you.
Individual therapy gives you room to move at your own pace, understand your patterns, process what you’re carrying, and find a steadier way forward.
My Therapy Methods
Therapy is not one
size fits all.
A thoughtful approach, shaped around you.
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. The way we work together depends on your age, needs, goals, lived experience, and what feels most supportive for your nervous system and season of life.
Sessions may include space to process emotions, understand patterns, build coping tools, work through painful experiences, strengthen self-trust, and find a steadier way forward.
-
All of my therapy is relational. You're also the expert of yourself and your experiences. While I'm here to be your helpful guide, no one knows you better than YOU. Client centered therapy means you will be guiding the sessions. I can bring my knowledge and interventions, and ultimately you will be the driving factor of the sessions and your progress. People often experience improved self-awareness, greater trust in themselves, and the ability to express their feelings and opinions.
-
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR follows an 8-phase structure where the main goal is to reduce vividness and emotion associated with a traumatic memory. This can be done through eye movement, sound, or tapping.
-
ACT stands for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I use ACT to help people practice acceptance towards themselves and their experiences, and increase their psychological flexibility. ACT helps you develop coping skills to handle challenging experiences, and to live out your values instead of your emotions. Emotions are valuable, and we need them. ACT provides you with the ability to not be overtaken by them.
-
CBT stands for cognitive behavioral therapy. CBT focuses on our connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT can teach us valuable ways to restructure our approach to various situations or beliefs to change how we think, feel, and behave.
-
Narrative therapy can help us shift how we view ourselves, our problems, and the world around us. It's a collaborative, strengths-based approach, allowing you to identify your skills, strengths, values, and giving yourself and your life new meaning. Key factors: story focused, non-pathologizing, deconstructing, and re-authoring.
-
Depending on your unique needs and interests, you may also find that I incorporate various tools or approaches for attachment styles, career exploration, art techniques, and internal family systems language.

What to know before getting started
How Sessions Work
We’ll begin with an intake session, which gives us time to talk through what brings you in, what you’re hoping for, and what kind of support may be helpful.
From there, sessions are shaped around your needs, your pace, and what feels most useful as we work together.
In-Person & Telehealth
Sessions are available in person and through telehealth. You can choose the option that works best for your schedule, location, comfort level, and access needs.
Whether we meet in the office or online, the goal is to create a steady, supportive space where you feel heard and understood.
